Looking for a New Education Role? Do It on Your Terms

Looking for a new job in education can be a pain.

You update your CV, upload it to a few different places, register with agencies, explain what you’re looking for multiple times and then wait for the phone to ring.

It’s been done this way for years. We think candidates should have another option.

That’s one of the reasons we built SnapIQ.

Your career, your choice

Recruitment agencies can be great. There are some brilliant recruiters out there who know their schools and genuinely look after their candidates.

But you shouldn’t have to rely on an agency to find out what’s available.

Sometimes you just want to log in, see who’s hiring and apply.

SnapIQ gives teachers and education staff another way to look for work. You can create your own profile, search for roles and apply for opportunities that actually interest you.

No waiting around for someone to decide whether a vacancy is right for you.

Schools can find you too

We’re also making it easier for schools to connect with candidates.

Instead of everything going through several different people before a conversation even happens, schools can advertise roles and receive applications through SnapIQ.

For candidates, that means more opportunities to get your experience in front of the right people.

Whether you’re a teacher, TA, cover supervisor, SEN specialist, lecturer, support worker or work elsewhere in education, the idea is the same.

Make finding work simpler.

Know what you want before you start looking

This is something we’ve seen a lot from working in education recruitment.

People often start looking for a new job without really deciding what they actually want.

Permanent or temporary?

Full-time or part-time?

How far are you willing to travel?

What’s the minimum salary or daily rate you’d accept?

What type of school do you actually want to work in?

Knowing these things before you start applying saves a lot of wasted conversations.

And don’t be afraid to know your worth either.

If you’ve got years of experience, specialist skills or qualifications that are in demand, take that into account when you’re considering your next move.

We’re not trying to get rid of recruiters

That’s not what SnapIQ is about.

Good recruiters are important to education staffing and will continue to be.

What we want to change is how disconnected the whole process can feel.

Schools should be able to recruit directly when they want to.

Agencies should have better tools to work with their clients and candidates.

And candidates should have more control over where they work and how they find their next opportunity.

It doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that.

Thinking about your next move?

Even if you’re not desperate to leave your current role, there’s nothing wrong with seeing what’s out there.

Get your CV updated. Sort your profile out. Have a look at the market.

You might find something that suits you better.

And if nothing catches your eye yet, you’ve lost nothing.

SnapIQ is free for candidates.

Create your profile and take a look at what’s available.
